1st and 2nd place awards and Honorable Mention may be awarded in the following categories
The Judges Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that best exemplifies the spirit and theme of the Chain Reaction event. This team will demonstrate "age level" excellence in their understanding, design, operation, and oral and written presentation of their Chain Reaction link.
Tickle My Ear More Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that through the creative use of materials, tickles and delights the ear.
The Theme Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that illustrates the theme "To Infinity and Beyond" most effectively.
The Whimsical Wonder Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that most delights, tickles and surprises the audience.
The Survivor Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that creatively entertains the audience from start to end, and finishes closest to the 2 minute goal for six-foot links, or the 60 second goal for three-foot links. (Ongoing action is certainly part of this, but may not necessarily be the sole determining factor for this award.)
Fabulously Frugal Award
For the Chain Reaction link that uses recycled materials well and profusely.
Take it to the Limit Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that is effective and who in overall design and use of materials has not "kept it simple."
The People's Choice Award
For the team that designs a Chain Reaction link that gets the most votes from the crowd.
