GoFundMe for Tekventure welding eequipment

As we approach our 20th anniversary as Fort Wayne's premier non-profit makerspace, we have realized that we need to upgrade and replace some of our more "experienced" equipment. Although our master welders and metal sculptors still turn out amazing art with our older machines, the welding machines have proven to be challenging for students and inexperienced makers. We are looking to purchase and equip two new multi-process, educational grade welding machines. The units have controllers that guide users through the setup process based upon materials, type of weld, and user knowledge. This is crucial for new users who are still learning how to weld.

Our goal is to have the two units installed and running in time for the summer semester of 2026. We are now serving students after school from one local school system's career center and in discussion with another system about a similar program starting in the Fall. The new welders will be crucial to the success of these training programs.
