TRAILERSCOPE EXPERIENCE UFO & Alien Existence Club meeting at TekVenture
The public is invited to the next the UFO & Alien Existence Club meeting to experience the "Trailerscope", a trailer mounted wide field telescope, designed and fabricated in the 1960's for chasing UFO's, and for traditional astronomical observations. This marvelous example of DIY ingenuity was hand built from grinding the mirror to the controls by Glen Harnishfeger, a founding member of the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society and engineer of their first telescope and dome observatory.
The deteriorating Trailerscope was refurbished recently at TekVenture Makerspace at 1830 Wayne Trace, Door 8, where the demonstration will be held, March 20, 6:30pm. Free.
