WoodWorx has a large tablesaw, drill presses, lathes, planers, joiners, grinders, workbenches with vises, craftsmen with vices, variety of bandsaws with blade widths from log cutters to scrollers, hole saws, CNC machines, plus hand and power tools.

Woodworx

Woodworx is a dedicated area within TekVenture Makerspace where members have access to a variety of woodworking tools and equipment. This includes a table saw, bandsaws, drill press, chop saw, planer, lathes, and a large assortment of hand tools. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn woodworking skills or an experienced woodworker in need of a space to work on your projects, Woodworx provides the tools and environment for you to bring your ideas to life.

  • Several TekVenture members frequent Woodworx. Pete Bolakowski and Chris Knipstein would be glad to assist or offer advice.

    • Some machines require approval or training, please look for the Training paperwork on them, and contact Pete for training.

    • Lumber must be cut with a solid flat base, so it cannot roll during cutting.

    • No drinks set on cast iron surfaces.

    • No glue ups on cast iron surfaces.

    • Leave chuck keys with their machine.

    • Use paper to protect benches during glue ups.

    • Return tools where they came from.

    • Expect to use 10-20% of your time cleaning up.

  • There is plenty of free wood underneath the large benches, as well as some labeled free on trollies alongside the assembly area.
