~ New developments have changed the details of this page. ~

TekVenture has moved.  One by one, the Worx areas are organized into operation.

Stay tuned for news, here or at www.facebook.com/tekventure.

Or email tekventuremakerspace@gmail.com to receive updates.

TekVenture Makerspace wants to provide Industrial Arts and Hands-On Skill Training and Workspace Tools for your Homeschool Curriculum!  We hope to become a hub for Homeschool organizations where your family can come in to do your own thing, or to participate in organized homeschool events and classes taught by homeschoolers or our skilled technical instructors.

TekVenture's Ten Worx Areas -- ElectroWorx, Garage, WoodWorx, ClayWorx, Blacksmithing & Welding, Sewing, 3D-printing and Laser cutting, CNC in MachineWorx, Art Studios.  The Twistful Meadow will be available soon at another location and you can see Tek TreasurerJeannette Jaquish's theater scripts at www.theaterfunscripts.com.

TekVenture invites your family to

MEET THE MAKERS! - Tours and Hands-On Skill Practice

TBA at our new location, early November 2023.

Visit all our Worx Areas and learn concepts and try hands-on techniques and tools. Tell us what you need in lessons and work space, and what days and times are best.

TekVenture would be a wonderful place for homeschoolers: learn in classes and create classes, practice freely in the shops, invent, enjoy each other's company and cook and eat together in Tek's kitchen. Rehearse and perform theater. Put on events. Be entrepreneurs.

We have a lively, fun, creative and friendly group of makers here with a wealth of knowledge and doing creative work. Homeschool parents could be appointed to the board of directors or other decision-making positions, such as shop managers.

You may, of course, come in other times during our Open Hours for a tour and to talk.

At these July Meet the Makers events, you may be asked to brainstorm a Homeschooler Offer:

FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS FIRST MONTH FREE

-- Cancel ANYTIME! --  Even before your first payment! ]

MEMBERSHIP includes: Access to all Worx Areas during Open Hours.  Once we get to know you, we may offer you a key for 24/7 access to the building.

- Requirement #1: Sign up on PayPal or another automated pay service -- you can cancel anytime. PayPal will tell you that the first month is a free trial membership.  If you enjoy your free month, we hope you will not cancel, and will allow PayPal to start paying us $55/month for your Family Membership.

- Requirement #2: Sign up for at least one class costing $5 to $20. During the Meet the Makers event we will ask all of you what skills you want taught on what days & times.

- Requirement #3: Help persuade other homeschool families to take the Free First Month Family membership and first class, and to become instructors.

TekVenture will provide tools, space and knowledge to the homeschoolers and they will provide us with a way to pay the bills and a jolt of enthusiasm.  Together we will create projects, parades, peformances, a thriving makers space and smart skilled children.

TekVenture will be solid and looking forward to the wonderful optimism, creativity and harmony that we have seen within homeschool families.

===============================

CLASSES are separate from memberships.  Classes are designed by the instructors and submit to our Event Manager to be scheduled.  To promote quality classes, we motivate the instructors by letting them keep 50% of the class fees and work out the details; 50% goes to TekVenture for use of the facility.  Homeschool parents or other TekVenture members may teach classes.  We want to hear what classes they want.

And TekVenture will have other work shops and activities outside of the Homeschool realm that you can attend.
